Studio Safety Rules
At Hillspire Academy, we believe dance should be a space of joy, growth, and magic — and safety is the foundation that makes all of that possible. To ensure every student feels protected, respected, and inspired, we kindly ask all visitors to follow the guidelines below:
Proper Attire & Footwear

Wear comfortable, movement-friendly clothing suitable for your style of class.

Clean dance shoes or socks only on the dance floor.
Arrive On Time

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to warm up and check in.
-
Late arrivals may not be permitted if it disrupts a class or event.
Stay Hydrated & Nourished
-
Bring a water bottle to every class.
-
Avoid dancing on an empty stomach or right after a heavy meal.
Cleanliness & Personal Care

Help us keep the space tidy by disposing of trash and keeping belongings organized.
Devices & Distractions
-
Phones should be silenced or on vibrate during class unless otherwise approved.
-
No filming without instructor permission (some classes may allow short clips at the end).
Listen to Your Body

Never push through pain. Communicate with your instructor if something doesn’t feel right.
-
Modifications are welcome — every dancer moves at their own pace.
Respect Space & Boundaries
-
Be aware of your surroundings and keep safe distance from others during movement.
-
Consent is required before any partner work, touch-based instruction, or physical contact.
Be Kind & Encouraging
-
Lift each other up. This is a no-bullying, no-judgment zone.
-
Supportive behavior helps the magic thrive for everyone.
Children & Guests
-
Parents and guests are welcome to quietly observe classes from the front studio area or seated at tables.
-
We kindly ask that observers remain respectful and refrain from disruptive conversations, loud phone use, or coaching from the sidelines.
-
Filming is only allowed with instructor permission.
Emergency Protocol
-
In the event of an emergency, follow staff instructions immediately.
-
First aid kits are available onsite. If you feel unwell, alert your instructor right away.
